Biography: Graduated from Glasgow University Medical School in 1993 and entered General Practice in Parkhead in Glasgow's East End in 1989. A career long interest in nutrition resulted in the founding of The Centre For Nutritional Studies Ltd in 2002 and Glasgow Health Solutions Ltd in 2005. He advocates integrative medical approaches to health where natural treatments and nutritional assessment is central to management of medical conditions. He is a principal in General Practice and Medical Officer to Glasgow Drug Crisis Centre. In addition he has held posts as Medical Director in the Lanarkshire Drug Problem Service and was lead Consultant in Drug Misuse training for medical and affiliated practitioners in the Glasgow Drug Problem Service. Dr Tom applies this in his daily General Practice and also in a private nutritional clinic which concentrates on multiple sclerosis. He is involved in several ongoing research projects including The Chinese Illness Perception Study and a study into bladder dysfunction in Multiple Sclerosis. He is also involved in fund raising for MS research. He became actively involved in management of addiction in practice and is now known nationally and internationally as an addiction expert. Has published original research on methadone, ecstasy and the abuse of tranquillisers. He has also presented papers at national and international conferences on the subject. In 1999 he became clinical director of the Lanarkshire Drug Service and was successful in greatly increasing the number of General Practices in Lanarkshire who offered substitution treatment to their patients. |

Biography: Dr Hassall graduated from Glasgow University and initilly worked in anaesthesia, before training in General Practice. Following work in Liverpool, Edinburgh and Stornaway, she returned to Glasgow and spent four year in Public Health Medicine. After 15 years in Glasgow University Health Service, she has re-entered NHS General Practice as well as re-training in sexual and reproductive medicine. When she and her husband are not sampling the culinary delights of Scotland, Fiona occasionally indulges in horse-riding and cycling. |

Chronic Anxiety and Panic Relief with Gill BattyThe treatment which will last for approximately 60 minutes. Neuro Psychological Reprogramming is a fast acting intervention and usually requires no more than 4 sessions. NPR is being assessed in clinical practise and will be the subject of a research evaluation in the near future. Gill is passionate about this new approach to the treatment of anxiety and as well as working one to one with patients she also teaches the process to therapists and charitable groups. |

Sports & Clinical Hypnotherapy with Paul FarquharThe treatment which will last for approximately 60 minutes and cost £60. Paul is in the clinic on the first Thursday of each month. The session will use techniques using both NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Clients are also taught self-hypnosis, to enable the session benefits to ongoing under the clients own control. Paul works at our Clinic in Rutherglen once a month. Areas covered are phobias, addictions, smoking cessation, weight loss, relaxation techniques, anxiety, panic attacks, sports performance, etc. |

Biography: Paul trained with Paul McKenna and Richard Bandler in 2004. He has completed advanced training with Dr Susi Strang and Craig Wood in 2009 & 2010. He is qualified at Master Practitioner level in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), and Practitioner level in Clinical Hypnotherapy, TFT (Thought Field Therapy), and Reiki. He also works with sportsmen/women using hypnosis to help enhance their existing skills and performance. He has recently started working with several world class swimmers helping them with mind preparation for Olympic Qualifying events. |
